At My Italian Living, most furniture is produced in Italy and delivered directly to customers through specialised furniture logistics partners. Delivery methods may vary depending on the size of the order and destination.
United Kingdom Deliveries
Free Kerbside Delivery
Free kerbside delivery is provided for most UK orders.
Kerbside delivery means delivery to the ground floor outside the property, such as the building entrance, driveway, or gate.
Please note:
1. The driver may require assistance unloading the furniture from the vehicle.
2. Depending on the size and weight of the order, customers may need to arrange additional help.
3. If unloading assistance cannot be provided, customers should request floor delivery before placing the order.
Product pages include Additional Information indicating:
1. Number of packages
2. Total weight
3. Approximate volume of the shipment
This information is also listed on the delivery note, which must be checked before signing.
Before signing the delivery note, please ensure:
1. The correct number of packages has been received.
2. The packaging is in good condition.
Where possible, we recommend opening the boxes to inspect the contents before signing.
If damage is visible:
1. Write “DAMAGED” clearly on the delivery note.
2. Take photographs of the packaging and the damaged item.
3. Contact us immediately with supporting evidence.
This allows us to claim through the courier’s insurance and arrange replacement parts as quickly as possible.
Floor Delivery (Quote Upon Request)
Floor delivery may be arranged upon request and must be quoted before ordering.
This service includes:
1. Two delivery personnel unloading the goods from the vehicle.
2. Carrying the furniture inside the property to the designated room.
Inspection procedures remain the same as for kerbside delivery. Customers must verify the number of packages and condition of the packaging before signing the delivery note.
Any visible damage must be clearly noted on the delivery documentation and reported immediately with photographs.
European Union Deliveries
We deliver to most countries within the European Union.
Standard EU Delivery
For deliveries within the EU:
1. Kerbside delivery is provided as standard.
2. Goods are delivered to the main entrance of the property at street level.
Customers are responsible for arranging assistance to move the furniture inside the property.
Floor delivery or installation services may be available in certain countries but must be quoted and arranged before ordering.
Delivery Lead Times
Typical delivery timeframes are:
1. Made-to-order furniture: approximately 8–10 weeks production time, plus transport time.
2. In-stock items: typically 7–14 days, depending on destination.
Delivery schedules are estimates and may vary depending on manufacturing timelines, transport availability, and logistics conditions.
Delivery Inspection & Damage Claims
It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all packages at the time of delivery.
Where reasonably possible:
1. Boxes should be opened to inspect the contents before signing the delivery note.
2. The number of packages and packaging condition must be verified.
If full inspection cannot be completed at the time of delivery, the delivery note should state:
“Goods accepted with reserve – subject to inspection.”
Any damage, defects, or discrepancies must be:
1. Reported within 48 hours where possible, and
2. In all cases no later than 5 working days from delivery, and
3. Supported by clear photographs of the damaged item, internal and external packaging, delivery label and signed delivery note.
Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.
