The Art. 2002/A Large Extendable Oval Tulip Dining Table (H. 74 cm) with a ceramic top is an Italian-made interpretation of Eero Saarinen’s iconic 1956 Tulip collection. Its elongated oval shape and extension system provide generous dining space for everyday use and larger gatherings while preserving the clean, sculptural profile of the original design.

Crafted in Italy, this made-to-order table pairs the central Tulip pedestal base with high-performance ceramic surfaces from Dekton, Laminam and Florim. The combination of durable materials, flexible dimensions and customisable finishes makes it suitable for dining rooms, open-plan kitchens, meeting spaces and hospitality interiors.

Premium Ceramic Top Options

The 20 mm ceramic top is available in finishes from three leading manufacturers:

  • Dekton Ceramic (20 mm) – Ultra-compact ceramic with excellent resistance to scratches, stains, heat and UV exposure, making it suitable for residential and high-traffic environments.
  • Laminam Ceramic (20 mm) – Italian ceramic available in refined contemporary finishes, with strong resistance to heat, moisture and everyday wear.
  • Florim Ceramic (20 mm) – Low-porosity ceramic surfaces that reproduce the appearance of natural stone while remaining durable and easy to maintain.

Extension Leaf

The ceramic version includes a lacquered MDF extension leaf in a colour matched to the selected top. This keeps the extended table visually coordinated while supporting smooth, reliable operation of the mechanism.

Sculptural Pedestal Base

The cast aluminium pedestal base is reinforced with an internal cast-iron ballast for stability. Its central position maximises legroom and allows chairs to be arranged more freely around the table.
