The Art. 2001 Small Extendable Round Tulip Dining Table (H. 74 cm) with a ceramic top is an Italian-made interpretation of Eero Saarinen’s iconic 1956 Tulip collection. Its extension system transforms the table from a compact round shape into an oval format, providing additional dining space without losing the clean profile of the original design.

Crafted in Italy, this model pairs a central pedestal base with ceramic surfaces from Dekton, Laminam and Florim. The table can be customised in both top finish and base colour, making it suitable for everyday residential dining and commercial interiors.

The 20 mm top is available in ceramic finishes from three leading manufacturers:

  • Dekton Ceramic (20 mm) – An ultra-compact surface with excellent resistance to scratches, stains, UV exposure and heat, suitable for indoor and covered outdoor use.
  • Laminam Ceramic (20 mm) – Italian ceramic available in refined textures and contemporary finishes, with strong resistance to heat, moisture and everyday wear.
  • Florim Ceramic (20 mm) – Low-porosity ceramic surfaces that reproduce the appearance of natural stone while remaining durable and easy to maintain.

Matching Extension Leaf

In the ceramic version, the central extension leaf is made from lacquered MDF in a matching colour. This keeps the extended table visually coordinated while allowing the mechanism to operate smoothly and reliably.

Sculptural Pedestal Base

The pedestal base is made from high-quality cast aluminium and reinforced with an internal cast-iron ballast for stability. Its central position maximises legroom and allows chairs to be arranged more freely around the table.
