The Large Oval Tulip Dining Table 199, 219, 224, 235 and 244 cm – Liquid Laminate or Solid Oak Top (H. 74 cm) is an Italian-made interpretation of Eero Saarinen’s 1956 Tulip collection. Its generous oval proportions and sculptural pedestal base make it well suited to spacious dining rooms, open-plan interiors, meeting rooms and hospitality settings.

Handcrafted in Italy by CTS Design, the large-format Art. 2002 model is available in five lengths from 199 cm to 244 cm. Choose a colour-customisable liquid laminate top for a clean contemporary finish or solid oak for a warmer, more tactile appearance.

Customisable Top Options

The tabletop is available in two material families:

  • Liquid Laminate (25 mm) – A 25 mm MDF top finished with semi-opaque liquid laminate. Glass microspheres within the varnish improve scratch resistance and reduce liquid absorption. Available in white, black or any custom RAL/NCS colour.
  • Solid Oak Wood (24 mm) – A 24 mm solid oak top finished with an open-pore, water-based varnish that preserves the natural grain. Available in natural, light walnut, dark walnut, black, palisander, cherry or moka oak.

Sculptural Pedestal Base

The table features a cast-aluminium pedestal base reinforced with an internal cast-iron ballast for stability across the larger tabletop sizes. Available finishes include:

  • Gloss White or Matt White
  • Gloss Black or Matt Black
  • Matt Grey
  • Custom RAL/NCS colours on request
